1845 | The Foundation of the Congregation of “Sisters of St.Joseph of Saint Marc” (sjsm) by Father Pierre Paul Blanck on 3rd March, at Saint Marc- Gueberschwihr-Alsace, France. |
1850 | Sr. Marie Joseph Scherb was appointed as the first Superior of the Congregation |
1852 | A horrific fire broke out in the convent Saint Marc, devastated the valuable assets and documents of the convent, and caused a period of extreme poverty. |
1865 | Repurchased the property of Saint Marc from the civil authorities (May 16th) |
1868 | Conducted first General Chapter of election and affairs at Saint Marc |
1868 | Mother Marie Xavier Neff elected as the first Superior General of the Congregation |
1873 | Death of the Founder, Father Pierre Paul Blanck (October18) |
1873 | Death of our Founder, Father Pierre Paul Blanck |
1883 | Death of Mother Marie Xavier (14th March) |
1919 | Foundation of a community at St. Trudpert, Münstertal, in Germany at the end of the First World War |
1920 | Establishment of the first Province of the congregation at Münstertal in Germany.. |
1926 | The first group of German sisters went on a Mission to Cleveland/Ohio in Unites States |
1937 | Sisters in America became a Province of Saint Marc |
1960 | The first group of candidates from Kerala joined to the Province St. Trudpert-Germany |
1965 | The first group of candidates from Kerala, India joined to the convent at Saint Marc |
1970 | The German Province obtained independence and became an independent Congregation with an autonomous Generalate in St. Trudpert. The Congregation is called "Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Trudpert". |
1973 | Separation of some American sisters from Province Cleveland and establishment of Youngstown Delegation at Louisville in America |
1974 | German implantation at Sanawad in the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh (Indore Mission) |
1977 | French implantation at Puthusserry in Kerala, in India (Vengoor Mission) |
1980 | Sisters of Cleveland, at their request, became independent congregation with their own autonomous Generalate . They are known as Sisters of St. Joseph of St.Mark |
1989 | Creation of a Province in France |
1995 | Congregation attained the Status as Pontifical Right from Rome |
1995 | 150th Anniversary of the foundation of Sisters of Saint Joseph of Saint-Marc |
1997 | The General Chapter of St. Trudpert decided for the re-unification with the original Congregation of Sisters of Saint Joseph of Saint-Marc. |
1998 | The General Chapter at Saint Marc ratified the request of St. Trudpert for re-unification with Saint Marc |
1998 | Vengoor Mission attained province status (Sanjo Province Vengoor) |
1998 | Implantation of the Congregation in Ukraine |
2001 | Ratification, by the Decree of the Congregation for the Institutes of consecrated life and of Societies of apostolic life, of the re-unification of Sisters of Saint Joseph of St. Trudpert with Sisters of Saint Joseph of Saint-Marc. St. Trudpert reunited with Saint Marc |
2001 | St. Trudpert became a Province (St.Trudpert Province) |
2001 | Indore Mission attained Province status ( St.Joseph Province-Indore) |
2004 | First international General Chapter held at Mother House in Saint-Marc. |
2008 | Implantation of the first mission community in Philippines (San Carlos) under Generalate |
2009 | Ukraine Mission attained the status as Delegation |
2009 | 200th birth anniversary of the founder, Father Pierre Paul Blanck (October 11, 1809) |
2016 | Held 3rd International General Chapter at Saint Marc |
2020 | 175th anniversary of the founding of the Congregation. Jubilee solemnly celebrated on 1st March |
