    One of the Sisters’ testimony:

"Our Sanjo Province in Kerala extends in several States in India. As Sisters of Saint Joseph, we are sent in the underprivileged regions to help the poor, sick, suffering people, social outcasts. For example, in one of our establishments, we welcome the physical and mentally handicapped children and youngsters. In the morning, a bus takes them from their home in order to reach our house and in the evening, they are driven again in their home. We try to give them a re-education and maximum of instructions. Their joy to live is a real present for us and it strengthens our conviction that the human life has a value on the earth in whatever situation it may be. These youngsters help us to believe that God has really an extraordinary plan upon each human being.

Many sisters are teaching in the schools. Several children of poor families are supported by sponsors. This encourages them to quench their thirst for knowledge and the desire to learn. We help also the young girls and women living in a miserable and oppressed situation. Along with them, we search how they can acquire more autonomy and take more responsibilities in their life.

Through our meetings with the poor people, we want to manifest our respect and esteem towards them and be for them living witnesses of God’s love for all human beings."
