Our Founder

Our Founder, Father Pierre Paul Blanck is born on October 11, 1809 in Turckheim (Haut-Rhin), not far from Saint-Marc, in a family deeply rooted in Christian faith and influenced by the Eucharistic Mystery. He loved silence, gave important place for adoration, and led his life in a spirit of humility and reconciliation.

Wishing to revive the ancient monastic tradition which was suffered a lot during the French Revolution, Father Pierre Paul Blanck founded on 3rd March 1845 the first community of Sisters in the ancient Benedictine priory at Saint-Marc and entrusted it to Saint Joseph. They have as mission perpetual Adoration of Eucharistic Jesus and service of the poor. The sisters were natives of Baden, Switzerland and Alsace. As the years go by, God led them from France to Germany, to Switzerland, to America, to India, to Ukraine, to Africa and to Philippines.
